This position is On-site in Vancouver
Your Purpose:
As the Parts Shipper, you will be responsible for checking, packing, and shipping of daily parts orders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Checking and packaging parts for sales orders
- Ship orders through the ERP and with various Carriers, both domestic and international.
- Daily report of parts orders into the system
- Maintain safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and procedures
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner to facilitate efficient fabrication processes and good safety practices
- Create labels and arrange pick up of returning goods
- Help with crating/packaging as needed
- Follow-up on daily outgoing shipments
- Occasional loading and unloading with a forklift
- Carries out other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- You can lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- You are proficient in basic computer programming and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- You have excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- You have strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You can work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative during slower periods.
- You can interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Preferred:
- Logistics experience
- You have a basic understanding of customs and transport regulations.
- You have experience using a forklift, ERP systems, and shipping software.
