Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer & President, the Plant Manager will provide strategic oversight to the day-to-day operations of the business, working closely with senior leadership to provide direction to the management team. Utilizing your business and operational expertise along with a well-developed team, you are key in helping to drive strategy and decision making to achieve the company’s growth ambitions.

Responsibilities:
- Follows all policies, procedures, and practices for a smooth operation by coordinating the activities of the reporting Managers.
- Ensure that the production schedule is being met both financially and operationally.
- Participate, collaborate and communicate with your team members to ensure a caring and supportive work environment is achieved
- Ensure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followed
Financial
- Participate in the development, execution and maintenance of the operational budget and managing costs.
- Participate in the delivery of key metrics and forward planning to achieve desired results
Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Company and work across the business (operations, procurement/logistics, sales, regulatory, R&D, etc.) to provide clear role responsibility, establishing a climate of continuous measurement and performance improvement
- Implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Manage the Company’s compliances with applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and standards
- Develop processes to ensure effective communication between departments
- Support HR strategies to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention with attention to diversity and inclusion as well as succession planning.
- Work with the leadership team to develop and evaluate key organizational metrics and performance indicators and look for opportunities to improve performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.

- Implement business strategies, plans, and procedures, setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth while establishing policies that promote company culture and vision
- Contributes to the strategic planning for the organization and ensuring that organizational and strategic objectives are met and aligned with best practice
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
- 10+ years’ experience in the manufacturing sector
- Relevant university degree
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong inter-personal skills to work with all levels of management and a diverse team
- Understanding of various business functions such as HR, Finance, sales, legal etc.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by your supervisor
