Overview
The Legal Assistant role will provide support to the PepsiCo Beverages North America legal team providing guidance to PBNA’s Allied Brands and Franchise Strategy business teams, including helping manage PepsiCo’s FTC/KDP Consent Order program and advise Franchise Strategy sector and field associates. This role will report to a PBNA Legal Senior Director and will be based out of Purchase, NY.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and review of various Independent Bottler legal agreements
- Lead paralegal managing PepsiCo’s FTC/KDP Consent Order program, including overseeing the annual Consent Order training process for over 11,000 PepsiCo associates, corresponding directly with outside consultants and PepsiCo’s internal audit team, and managing all records regarding the same
- Conducting analyses on Independent Bottler topics in response to requests from Franchise Strategy sector and field teams
- Update and maintain Independent Bottler virtual and physical files
- Performing research within PBNA legal files and corporate databases
- Managing annual workstream updating/amending each Bottler’s Addendum to Agreements, which includes corresponding with PBNA field team associates re proposed Addendum edits and Bottlers’ feedback, and issuing final updated Addendum agreement lists to Bottlers each year
- Supervise and update ongoing audit of Independent Bottlers’ bottling appointments, syrup appointments, and distribution agreements, including identification of historical agreements that require issuance to Bottlers
Compensation and Benefits
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,000 - $110,550.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred
- Previous law firm or in-house legal experience is highly preferred
- 4+ years’ experience as a legal assistant handling franchise and distribution related matters is preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive
- Strong research skills
- Strong proofreading skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines, including ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Strong teamwork mentality
