The laboratories at Nutricia NV belong to the Quality department and are responsible for the testing (microbiological, sensorial and chemical) of all produced batches, intermediates and raw materials required for quality control and release. The teams are composed by 18 analysts and two team leaders that report to the Analytical Governance Manager.
The labs are in a journey towards ISO 17025 accreditation. In this context, we are looking for a Lab Compliance Manager to be in charge of implementing and maintaining the lab quality system based on ISO 17025 in line with Danone Analytical Excellence requirements. The Lab Compliance Manager, reporting to the Analytical Governance Manager, will be the main point of contact for lab quality related topics and responsible for continuous improvement through audits, internal communication and collaboration with the wider Quality team and other stakeholders..
Your main responsibilities
As Lab Compliance Manager your responsibilities are:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining a laboratory quality system based on ISO 17025, in accordance with the guidelines of Danone Analytical Excellence;
- Identifying and correcting any quality or traceability gaps in laboratory protocols;
- Training the labs staff with regards to the quality system and related matters;
- Leading the program for the implementation of (new) methods and corresponding method verifications: coordinating the work, supporting execution and reporting progress so that the results are realized within the set time and the available budget;
- Supporting implementation of new LIMS
- Organizing and leading internal audits / supervising external audits;
- Monitoring quality indicators and reporting to management;
- Being the main contact with Danone Analytical Excellence and strengthening cooperation with the wider Danone lab network by sharing and exchanging knowledge and experience;
- Coordinating registration and handling of complaints and deviations, implementing corrective actions and ensuring that complaints and deviations are dealt with within the specified period;
- Providing guidance, expertise and explanations to customers and employees to understand and solve quality problems and issues;
- Optimizing the processes in the department to improve efficiency.
We are looking for someone with a completed education preferably with a specialization in analytical chemistry or microbiology and proven experience in laboratory environment.
In addition, you fit this role perfectly because you are/have:
- Experience with ISO 17025
- Very strong quality mindset
- General understanding of LIMS systems
- Dutch & English fluent in speaking and writing;
- Strong communication skills
- Project management experience
