Mechanical Designer - Ingeniero de Diseño
Responsibilities / Tasks
As a Mechanical Designer- Ingeniero de Diseño you will be responsible for designing and managing plant and process diagrams, overseeing construction and manufacturing processes, developing 2D/3D models for various industrial sectors, and ensuring compliance with hygienic design standards.
The tasks and responsibilities for the role include
- Designing, editing and manage plant diagrams (Layouts)
- Designing, editing and manage process diagrams (P&IDs)
- Review engineering delivered by workshops, e.g. detail engineering of tanks and pressure vessels
- Creation and verification of construction diagrams
- Validation of manufacturing processes in the workshop with stainless steel and carbon steel, with an emphasis on hygienic industry
- Development of 2D projects for different areas such as, Instrumentation & Control, Processes, Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial, focused on sectors, Energy and Petrochemicals and Food Industry
- Development of 3D modeling under AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3d, AutoCAD Inventor software. Designs are for the food industry and hygienic design standards must be followed (pasteurizers, valve skids, warm-up skid, etc)
- Generation of bill of materials by means of 3D Software for equipment manufacturing.
- Trace pipeline routes, freehand isometric generation of mechanical assembly schematics or through 3D design software
- Responsible of final installation details
- Management of contractors
- Availability to travel within and outside the country, 50% of the time
Your Profile / Qualifications
What education, Knowledge and experience do you need?
- Education background in Mechanical or Electromecanical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in 3D design
- (Valuable) 4+ years of provable experience in engineering projects
- (Valuable) Knowledge of main engineering calculation and design tools
