Join us as Legal business partner to Corporate P&O
As our new Legal Business Partner to Corporate P&O, you will be part of the Board Secretariat in the Corporate Legal and M&A team. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a Legal Business Partner to P&O with regards to individual employment law, company law and corporate governance advice and support especially in relation to management and corporate P&O matters.
You can look forward to a very trusted role acting as a legal strategic sparring partner to P&O in general, the EVP of People & Stakeholder Relations and the General Counsel.
Welcome to the Board Secretariat in Corporate Legal & M&A
The Corporate Legal & M&A function is part of the overall Legal function in Novonesis which counts approx. 60 employees world-wide. Reliance and cross functional interaction as well as a proactive and dynamic working environment characterize the Legal function. The Legal function supports the entire Novonesis organization across the world with all major legal matters.
The role will include responsibility for:
Drafting, negotiating and interpreting executive employment contracts
Providing advice and support to P&O on global short- and long-term share-based incentive programs
Providing advice and support to the Board of Directors' Nomination and Remuneration Committee
Company law and corporate governance advice and support on especially Board and Executive Management remuneration and reporting
Managing employee representation elections for relevant Danish legal entities
Managing outside legal counsel for international P&O when appropriate, reviewing and evaluating the advice received and act as a link between P&O and outside legal counsel, and assisting on strategic individual or group employment law litigations
Providing advice and support on M&A related employment law
In this role you will be interacting with Novonesis Executive Leadership Team members, the General Counsel and cooperating with P&O. You will report to Jette Liboriussen, Head of Board Secretariat. Flexible workplace is possible with home office days.
Potentially relevant experience:
You hold a master’s degree in law (cand.jur. or equivalent) and you have at least 7 years of experience as an external lawyer or inhouse legal counsel. Furthermore, you have a strong legal understanding of individual employment law, especially executive matters, company law and corporate governance understanding regarding management remuneration and related reporting obligations.
Furthermore, you have:
Attention to detail and an eye for delivering high-quality work and results in a structured and organized manner
Very high sensitivity to special confidentiality requirement for the position
Strong stakeholder management capabilities and diplomatic skills
Very high integrity
A solid professional foundation and are highly autonomous
Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
