Join us as an Associate Scientist / Scientist I!
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Developing workflows for screening and application testing of yeast and/or enzymes to meet product performance goals
Coordinating and executing experiments together with project team, ensuring that results, documentations and reporting of data meet a high-quality standard
Leading development of new assays, methods and processes, and ensure we stay current with the state-of-the-art in our research area
Mentoring and directing Research Associates / junior team members
Serving on cross-functional product development teams, communicating results and providing technical recommendations and guidance on research strategies
Collaborating with customers or external partners and vendors to investigate new leads and technologies
Contributing to writing patents and IP applications, as well as scientific publications and conference presentations
To succeed you must hold:
PhD in a biotech discipline or MS in a biotech discipline with min. 3 years relevant experience
Experience working with industrial enzymes, yeast or other microbes
Experience of animal feed applications and understanding of health and nutritional aspects of agricultural products or coproducts are preferred
Experience working in multifunctional teams and/or in new product development is highly desirable
Project management skill is highly desirable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future
Location: Franklinton, NC (on-site)

Expected salary range: $71,000 – $100,000
