The Maintenance Planner is based at the Totowa, NJ plant and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role of the Maintenance Planner is to organize, distribute and audit all work orders to maximize plant efficiency and minimize downtime. Using a CMMS system (SAP) to plan and coordinate labor, parts and equipment access.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA, Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.
- Maintain positive attitude. Focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and productivity
- Preventative maintenance planning
- Develops PM plans for all equipment based on manufacture suggestions and real time information developed with the team
- Develops PM schedule working directly with maintenance supervisor to ensure all maintenance tasks are planned and accounted for.
- Work with the maintenance and production team to identify PMs for autonomous maintenance.
- PM Optimization
- Ensure all assets have correct PM schedule
- Develop PM routes to make daily PM’s more time efficient
- Inventory
- Work with the team to maintain parts inventory
- Asset management
- Add new assets into the CMMS system, SAP
- Ensure all identified assets are clearly labeled and mapped
- Predictive maintenance
- Identify predictive maintenance strategies
- Work with maintenance techs on root cause analysis for failures.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Three plus (3+) years working in manufacturing
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with EAM/CMMS a must
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and manuals
- Ability to organize and plan tasks
- Experience in a dust-related environment preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Manufacturing plant is large, open floor areas with loud machinery, requiring some areas for workers to wear ear protection to guard against noise. Workers are exposed to high temperatures during the summer months. Some work in cold environments during winter months. You will be exposed to a dusty work environment due to raw materials. Materials may contain allergens (eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame seeds, milk, fish, shellfish, wheat).
- Workers are required to wear GMP compliant hair and beard nets, company-provided uniforms, and gloves to protect the product from possible contamination. Certain areas require respirators.
