Join us as our new Lean Specialist
The Excellence Partner (Lean Specialist) is responsible for driving and managing the Continuous Improvement programs at the Novonesis Salem (base location) and Novonesis Saskatoon (virtual and on-site support as needed) sites. You will promote a culture of efficiency in our Go4Excellence program (GO4E) and be a part of a Regional and Global GO4Excellence community, supporting and framing the ways of working in Novonesis Operations.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Developing people's skills and improving processes through practical applications of Lean principles, systems, tools, and behaviors.
Creating and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
Facilitating, leading, coaching, and participating in structured problem solving and improvement activities based on site priorities.
Ensuring collaboration between departments and functions to avoid sub-optimal solution approaches while promoting value stream and flow thinking.
Partnering with site resources to develop future states and improvement plans associated with strategic priorities.
Leading and supporting through action – go see (Gemba), ask why, promote a ‘learn by doing’ approach
Bringing a customer value and value stream perspective to all problem solving and improvement activities.
Facilitating and leading effective strategy deployment to achieve breakthrough targets (including value stream analysis, value stream mapping, mission implementations, facilitation of improvement events, facilitation of monthly strategy review processes, etc)
Presenting a positive teamwork attitude and promoting a working climate that encourages winner mentality, ownership, creativity, openness, and passion.
Building rapport and communicating clearly with personnel at all levels and in all parts of the organization
Effectively using software and technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Whiteboard, Teams, etc) to visualize and streamline initiatives.
To succeed you must hold:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or similar relevant field (preferred)
3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role, or similar
Certification/Training in Lean, Six-Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, or other data driven process improvement methodology

Expected salary range: $85,000-$115,000
