As a Senior Project Manager at SunOpta, you will take ownership of diverse projects ranging from large scale capital expenditures (capex) to corporate initiatives. You will exemplify project discipline through effective planning, execution, and management of all project aspects. Essential Functions Of The Job
Project Management: Lead and oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project performance and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
Executive Summaries: Prepare and present comprehensive executive summaries to senior leadership, highlighting project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to facilitate communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Clear and Effective Communication: Foster a culture of open communication by articulating project goals, updates, and challenges clearly and concisely to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels of the organization.
Change Management: Navigate and manage projects in a dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability to organizational changes and evolving priorities.
Accountability: Ensure project accountability by maintaining comprehensive documentation, risk management, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Business Knowledge: Develop sufficient knowledge of the SunOpta business environment and goals to facilitate and coordinate the end-to-end project timeline and milestones to deliver overall project objectives and goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or Related Field or equivalent experience in the Project Management space.
5 -7+ years of overall business experience with cross-functional project management expertise, from ideation to completion and beyond.
Experience implementing cross-functional strategic projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Continuous Improvement experience or certifications.
Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of Project Management.
Knowledge of Lean Practices.
Capital Expenditure effort experience.
Manufacturing environment knowledge or experience.
Knowledge And Skills
Experience with business process analysis and redesign.
Gap analysis skills that translate into action plans and resolution.
Expertise in project management theory and practice.
Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.
Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint software and be proficient with MS Excel software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, presentation, interpersonal and team building skills for all levels of business.
Additional Considerations
Travel Expectation: Up to 35%, primarily to SunOpta manufacturing plants.
This role will be based out of SunOpta’s Corporate Office in Eden Prairie, MN.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Approximately 95% of work is performed in an office environment.5% of work may involve being in an agricultural or manufacturing environment.
