The
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Intern will play an integral role in supporting Beyond’s ESG reporting program. Reporting to the Senior Manager, ESG, the
ESG intern will have the opportunity to take the lead on key reporting projects, build collaborative relationships across internal teams (including Operations, Procurement, R&D), and will play a pivotal role in supporting the company in delivering on its 2025 ESG plan.
As ESG is instrumental to our brand and mission, the ESG function sits in Marketing and the ESG intern may also support ESG marketing and communications on occasion. This role is ideal for someone considering the career of ESG controllership or interested in specializing in ESG/sustainability reporting or environmental lifecycle assessments.
Tasks, Duties, & General Responsibilities
- You will support the work of our ESG team and work cross-functionally as you contribute meaningful work aligned with our overall impact strategy
- In partnership with the team, support the development of the company’s annual ESG/Sustainability reports, including GHG inventory and product life cycle assessments.
- Collect and review data from internal teams
- Support project management, including projects involving external consultants
- Assess industry and relevant leader approaches to ESG and impact and communicate key findings.
- Create a timeline and identify various deliverables and milestones to mark project progress and success
- Distill information from stakeholders and primary research into insights for regular check-ins with the team and manager
Qualifications
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:
- Master’s graduate level student preferred
- Background or demonstrated interest working in corporate ESG/sustainability or ESG consulting, assurance or auditing, preferably in a manufacturing or CPG
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- This person is curious, analytical, detail-oriented, likes to tackle hard problems, and isn’t afraid to try something new and talk to many stakeholders across the business to find answers
- Extremely strong research skills with a relentless drive to find information
- Open-minded and collaborative
- Strong communication and presentation skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Duration: January - May 2025
- Hours: Target of 20 hours a week
- Work arrangement: HQ-based internship in our El Segundo office
**Hourly rate commensurate with experience**
The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $25 and $30 per hour. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
