Role Description
The Sr. Director, Commercialization (Marketing & Sales) is a key member of the global leadership team. This position will have ownership over GTM strategy, Analytics & Reporting, Brand Planning and P&L, and Portfolio Strategy. This role blends strategic leadership and execution to bring to life our short-term and long-term goals. This role will be responsible for managing the US marketing & sales operations team, creating and delivering effective marketing strategies and consulting on meaningful sales strategies.
- Accountable for developing the overall brand strategies, customer and category leadership, and financial plan delivery.
- Own all consumer facing communications and touchpoints in the US.
- Assist in developing the selling stories for all key customers.
- Provide category leadership for key customers, attending meetings and presenting brand plan
- Analysis, approval and tracking of retail shifts (eg promotions, margin structure, etc)
- Oversee the Marketing & sales operations team to provide optimal support to brokers and retail partners.
- In partnership with R&D, Create and own the innovation and renovation pipeline (short-term and long-term) based on performance and insights
- Provide recommendations and guidance on changes to claims and positioning for packaging and communications strategy. Once aligned to, this role will lead the implementation of those changes.
- Partner with R&D team to align on the concepts – flavors, size, formats, pricing – to deliver on the innovation targets
- Develop and implement processes that will deliver efficiencies when working with cross functional teams.
- Drive the execution of creative and packaging briefing for the graphics team
- Manage the US marketing & sales budget
Qualifications
- Consumer first thinker that understands how to create marketing strategies that drive the busines.
- Minimum 8-10 years of combined experience in brand management and sales, within a CPG food or be beverage company.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, MBA is preferred.
- Strong foundational experience within an established company is preferred, startup experience is required.
- Strategic Planning: Process-focused and data-driven, with a robust history in developing and executing strategic business plans.
- Operational Tactics: Strong emphasis on managing day-to-day business fundamentals.
- Depth of experience creating, executing and measuring go to market strategies and plans
- Strong understanding of all major marketing channels including social, SEO, SEM, shopper marketing, etc.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Microsoft Office application skills: Strong in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Skills working within Teams and SharePoint a plus.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Flexible working hours/Ability to work in the evenings (i.e. 1pm-10pm), as opposed to the traditional 9-6 as many teams are in Singapore and Dubai.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
- Candidates must be live in the Los Angeles area
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 25lbs
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (10-20%)
- We currently operate as a remote organization but have plans to move to a hybrid schedule in the near future; exact days in and out of the office are flexible and need to be aligned upon with the hiring manager
