Your main goal as Crucifers Seed Production Specialist is to manage Crucifers species seed productions domestically (Netherlands) and internationally. Your responsibility includes supervising Crucifers seed productions from small quantities of pre-commercial (DV) through stock seed (STS) productions to commercial (COS) seed productions, that take place at the Hazera’s own grower network, in home farms or at vendors.
As Crucifers Seed Production Specialist your aim is to achieve good production performance, quantity, quality and in time. The Crucifers Seed Production Specialist is based in Made Netherlands and reports to the Manager Seed Production Crucifers. You work together with your colleagues from different teams, contribute in planning phases and provide updates for internal use.
Job requirements
- Supporting and guiding global growers and vendors with the required information and knowledge
- Managing all domestic and international stock seeds increases and commercial seed productions
- Initiating new ways and ideas towards improving production results including the participation and development of Production research trials
- Internal reporting and taking care of essential administration
- Coordinating multiple production processes at the same time
- Advising and assisting the Crucifers Production manager in building a production plan
- Following up on production contracts for crop portfolio
- Monitoring, reviewing and implementing production protocols
Candidate profile:
- Agriculture technician (BSc in Agronomy is an advantage)
- Strong affinity with agriculture and several years in technical growing experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of/and experience in seed production is an advantage
- Knowledge of/and experience with MS Office, ERP systems
- Communicative, decisive, a team player, good with planning and organizing
- Willing to travel abroad when is need it
- Fluency in English & Dutch language is required
