The Home and Personal Care (HPC) team strives to be the preferred partner of our customers, delivering high-value, sustainable, and consumer relevant solutions for the Home, Personal, and Industrial Care Markets. The Senior Program Manager will lead, manage and support the development of a portfolio of Designed Enzymatic Biomaterials™ (DEB) products & initiatives to meet the strategic goals of the HPC business and will be responsible for successful global product launches which includes providing product leadership throughout the commissioning and startup of a new manufacturing facilities. This role will bring together project and product management skills to coordinate and drive progress in a cross-functional team effort throughout a complex commercialization program.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for managing product development and portfolio processes in a cross functional team that is bringing a new biomaterial technology to scale. This includes working internally and externally to scale up, commission and start up a new facility to produce DEB products.
- Responsible for execution of DEB based projects following the Process of Commercialization and supporting active portfolio management, project management best practices and cross-functional alignment.
- Responsible for successful DEB product launches in time, budget and quality meeting business objectives in addition to project success criteria designed to build sustainable product development processes.
- Drive (prioritization) decision making (start, stop, adjust) on a need basis to achieve project and portfolio objectives through alignment with functional and leadership teams.
- Create transparency in output of all projects and communicate with impact to stakeholders and through alignment of cross-functional deliverables.
- Continuous adjustment of the Process of Commercialization if required for successful product development and launches.
- Project manager of key program to bring on new DEB capacity
- Interaction and validation of collaboration project with Key Global Development and Commercialization Partners
Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in a relevant technical/scientific/business discipline and significant experience in project management
- Demonstrated success in project management and product launches; preferably in the Polymer, Material Science or Biotechnology field. Project scenario thinking and assessment.
- Can lead, influence and collaborate with teams in a matrix organization
- Ability to distinguish headlines from details, communicates with impact across organizational and leadership levels
- Knowledge of IFF H&B organization and processes is an asset

- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
