Director of Ingredient Sales
Atlantic Sea Farms (ASF) is a first mover with a robust social and environmental mission and ambitious growth goals. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Ingredient Sales to build out and successfully grow sales of our seaweed as an ingredient. This role is ideal for a sales leader excited to shape the future of sustainable food by bringing innovative, ocean-friendly seaweed products to a wider audience and amplifying our environmental impact by making high-volume sales.
The Director of Ingredient Sales at Atlantic Sea Farms will lead the company's efforts in driving sales of seaweed-based ingredients across various industries, including food, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pet, and new markets and build on ASF’s existing customer base in these channels. This individual will develop and execute sales strategies, cultivate strong relationships with key clients, and oversee the growth of ingredient sales channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B ingredient sales, deep industry connections, and a passion for sustainability and innovative food products.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the ingredient or food industry.
Proven success in selling natural or sustainable ingredients to food manufacturers, CPG companies, or nutraceutical businesses.
Strong background in understanding and communicating functional qualities and analytical data for food for health, beauty, and pet industries
Experience managing national and or global accounts that move volume and create strong revenue streams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze market data, trends, and customer needs to create strategic sales plans.
Passion for sustainability, with knowledge of the seaweed industry being a plus.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy targeting the growth of ingredient sales to meet and exceed revenue goals
Identify and capitalize on opportunities for market expansion, especially in the food, health, and cosmetic industries
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners in the food, beverage, and nutraceutical industries
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and driving long-term partnerships
Effectively work across the vertically integrated team to ensure growth goals are in line with capacity and supply and meet overall company objectives
Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports, presenting to the executive team on progress and strategic adjustments
Develop and manage budgets relating to growth goals and deploy funds efficiently and effectively in a start-up environment

Compensation:
This position will be paid an attractive base salary in addition to a compelling, performance-based bonus, have access to the company’s health benefits package, paid vacation and is eligible for participation in the company’s stock options plan.
