Nature's Path is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth in white space opportunities across the Convenience & Gas (C&G), Drug, Dollar, and Discount channels. This role will focus on expanding distribution, increasing market share, and establishing strategic partnerships within these channels; driving the company’s mission to make organic food accessible and available to all. In a nut shell this role is perfect for someone who has been selling into these channels (convenience/gas/drug/dollar/discount) with significant experience and established relationships with key decision-makers.
White Space Identification & Strategy Development:
Identify untapped market opportunities and develop strategic initiatives to drive incremental growth in the C&G, Drug, Dollar, and Discount channels.
Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to define and prioritize growth opportunities.
Sales Execution & Account Management:
Drive new business development by establishing and maintaining relationships with key accounts and distributors across the C&G, Drug, Dollar, and Discount channels.
Negotiate and execute distribution agreements with retailers to expand Nature’s Path’s presence within these segments.
Develop sales strategies that align with corporate objectives and customer needs, leading to increased shelf presence and sales volumes.
Channel Expertise & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a subject matter expert on C&G, Drug, Dollar, and Discount channels, providing insights and recommendations to internal teams for product development, marketing, and distribution.
Collaborate with marketing, finance, supply chain, and product teams to align sales efforts with brand goals and operational capabilities.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Track sales performance and key metrics, providing regular reporting and updates on progress towards targets.
Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and plans for assigned channels, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Relationship Building & Customer Retention:
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring a high level of service and support.
Implement effective account management practices to retain and grow business within existing accounts.
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred or other job-related or equivalent business experience.
5-7 years of progressive account management responsibility in medium-large consumer goods organization
Previous experience with C&G, Drug, Dollar and Discount channel.
Complex selling knowledge with proven ability to create strategies, execute plans and key initiatives.
Very strong analytical skills and understanding of translating category data (consumption, baseline trends, incremental lift) into insights to influence decisions.
Proficient to advanced-level Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of trade fund management, forecasting, and common business analytics.
Must have excellent customer service, hunting/selling, relationship building, and thought leadership skills.
This is a remote role within the US and will pay (based on experience) between $130,000 - $160,000 with a 20% bonus and employer paid benefits.
