The Role
We are seeking an Intern Data Engineer to support our Data team to enhance the multiple data sources used by the company.
As an Intern Data Engineer, you will retrieve, store and model data, maintain data pipelines, and develop solutions to support the use cases, ensuring adherence to best practices for a good data quality.
This is a paid Internship role, for an initial term of six months. We are ideally looking for someone to join us full time, but would be open to part-time work schedules of at least 75% FTE.
Please note this is a Remote First role and we are open to candidates +/- 2hrs CET, however we have a preference for Spain or Germany based candidates due to company registered locations.
Who you are
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in Python programming, including familiarity with key data manipulation packages (NumPy and Pandas).
Proven experience in schema designs and dimensional data modelling.
Proven experience in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Familiarity with Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud, is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and team work.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Someone who likes to solve problems in a creative way and learn new things.

How you'll help build one•fıve
Create and maintain technical specifications and supporting documentation.
Develop ETL’s for data analysis, exploration or standardisation of experimental data.
Build queries for reports and dashboards in the Google Environment.
Work alongside Data Engineers, Data scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.
Work closely with the R&D team to support them on the integration of new data models.
Perform updates on our proprietary data model to enable better data collection and storage.
Hiring Process
1. Application Review and TA Screen. Your application will be reviewed and if successful, one of our Software team will reach out and book in a 30 minute introductory Google Meets call.
3.Technical call: If successful, you'll move on to a more in depth technical call with one of our awesome hiring managers. Here we'll delve deeper into your technical experience and aspirations, lasting around 1 hour over Google Meet, and meeting more of the team.
4. Final Culture Interview with VP Operations: Providing you with a solid understanding of the future aims, values and aspirations of the company and answering all your questions about the team and culture.
