Then you may be our new Senior Scientist in the Chemical team in Kalundborg.
Welcome to the Chemical team
In the Chemical team, we are responsible for the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods in our global Quality Control (QC) laboratories. We work with chemical analyses with special focus on HPLC/UPLC methods on the Waters platform utilizing Empower as the chromatographic software. We act as the interface between R&D and QC and optimize and transfer analytical methods from early development to QC lab procedures.
We collaborate closely with various departments in the company including the human health sector, where the use of specific quality systems are required.
We are a small team of five people responsible for the chemical area, but we are part of a larger department anchored in Bagsværd. It will therefore be required to work from Bagsværd occasionally.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
You will team up with two scientists and two lab technicians and work closely with colleagues from R&D and QC in our shared lab facilities. You will be engaged in evaluating new products or product formats in existing chemical analyses where optimization, troubleshooting or global alignment is needed, as well as developing new procedures living up to the right regulatory and quality requirements.
You will be responsible for your own project deliverables as part of a project core group working across departments with development of new products. Your work has a global focus, and you should be able to interact with a broad range of stakeholders from QC lab technicians, pilot production scientists, R&D, quality managers, and external partners.
To succeed you must hold:
A Master’s degree or Ph.D in biochemistry, chemistry or equivalent
Experience with chemical methods, e.g. HPLC/UPLC, GC, MS, ICP, either from a research area or QC laboratory.
Interest and experience in interpreting regulatory and quality requirements into well-functioning lab workflow and documents
Be innovative and open-minded with a high quality and analytical approach to your work
Strong collaborative and teamwork attributes
Capability to work with digitalization and automation procedures in the laboratory
Be able to change between tasks and tackle multiple projects
Desire to learn new things and take ownership
Location: This job will be located at Novonesis Kalundborg, Denmark.
