Join us as our new Microbiome Student Assistant in Human Health Biosolutions Science & Innovation
As a Microbiome Student Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting microbiome and multi-omic data to uncover new insights into the impact of the microbiome on human health. You will be part of our mission to understand the microbiome's complexities and leverage this knowledge to enhance human well-being globally. If you are passionate about tackling complex challenges, analyzing omic data, interpreting results, and developing innovative statistical methods using machine learning, this role is ideal for you.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
- Identifying and evaluating human microbiome studies of relevance.
- Contributing to the ingestion of public data into our proprietary discovery platform.
- Adapting existing bioinformatic tools into Nextflow modules.
- Running bioinformatics pipelines on various data sources.
- Conducting analyses on omics data.
- Being a part of making advanced analytics on microbiome data using machine learning and deep learning models
To succeed you must:
- Be a student in a relevant biotechnology, computer science, or natural sciences field.
- Be at your final BSc year or enrolled in a MSc program.
- Be fluent in both oral and written English.
- Already possess or have the ambition to acquire excellent Python or R programming skills with a commitment to good programming and code management practices.
- Coursework experience with data science methods in statistics or machine learning.
- Be able to work between 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility in exam and vacation periods.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools and git is a plus but not required.
- Interest and experience with metagenomics and microbial genomics is a plus but not required
