Welcome to Direct Procurement Europe
Direct Procurement Europe is an integral part of the Global Procurement organization, which is part of our Operation organization. Our focus in Direct Procurement is to drive growth for Novonesis through close collaboration across the supply chain and vendors. We strive to balance value creation, cost, sustainability, and risk for the betterment of Novonesis.
We are closely linked to our Global Direct Procurement organization, having the responsibility for all raw materials for production, utilities, CMO, and insourced materials. Direct Procurement, Europe is the largest region and carries a regional responsibility within a global context. Our team is expanding and will consist of 9 highly skilled and dedicated professionals supporting our 6 different categories in a global category team. The global category team comprises procurement colleagues situated at Novonesis' key production sites across Europe, Asia Pacific, India, North America, and South America.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Deliver in tactical and strategic activities in the Procurement department with ability to execute within categories and regions, including risk mitigation and negotiation.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve value creation, cost savings and mitigate risks.
Supporting more junior profiles develop negotiation and contract management skills.
Drive and foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, including operations, quality, sustainability, finance, and legal teams.
Delivering on global business targets and KPIs supporting the overall strategy and roadmap of Direct Procurement and Novonesis.
To succeed, you could potentially possess:
Min 10 years of solid experience in Direct Procurement, preferably within Biotech, Food, Life Science, or similar regulated industries combined with relevant education at master level within Business, Economic, Supply Chain, or relevant.
Strong within tendering, contract management, supply optimization and negotiation.
Team player with a holistic, innovative, and can-do mindset.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Comfort working in a complex, changing, and global environment.
Experience with leadership or establishing new areas.
