About the position
We are seeking a talented and experienced Azure Data Expert to support the design and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions within Flora Food Group. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Azure analytics environment is well designed, governed and responding timely to the business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Azure Data components, data warehouse/lakehouse/mesh architecture, ideally within an FMCG environment.
You will help us operate the cutting-edge Azure Data tools (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Data Factory) that we have recently implemented globally.
You will be responsible for both design (architecture) and development of the solutions.
As part of the Data Engineering Team (3 members internally, 5 members from supplier side), you will work closely with Data to Insights Team to translate business requirements to Data Engineering/similar extractions of new data sources. You will also co-operate with IT functional teams & business GPO to meet or exceed business requirements.
You will take care of governance of the Azure Data environment. You will support D2I Team to govern the solution of Power BI side – related to security, performance (capacity metrics) and SQL/Python coding.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You have at least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering role, preferably as senior developer or architect.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Azure Data solutions, including Databricks, Data Factory, SQL DB, Synapse Analytics, logic apps, various storage accounts.
Showcase proficiency in programming languages on the above including SQL and Python.
Driving the innovation in solutions proposed by Microsoft – including Fabric that is recent framework from Microsoft.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are important for articulating technical solutions, validating demand, and aligning IT capabilities with business processes.
You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and effectively solve technical issues.
You have highly developed communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diversified environment.
Fluent English and very good Polish is a must. Other languages are more than welcome.
