As our next Reliability Engineer, you will be a mission-critical contributor to the overall operational success of our Tucker, GA plant and development of the organization in the areas of reliability, continuous improvement, maintenance, and safety. In your role at the Tucker, GA facility you will lead and implement site-wide reliability and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects including improvements in Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through partnering with maintenance and operations personnel while leading site-wide implementation of Corbion's Integrated Continuous Improvement (CICI). The successful incumbent will also lead local efforts in transforming site safety and leading Corbion Safety Excellence programs at the site. You will report to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager onsite.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through leading the sitewide reliability programs in conjunction with operations and maintenance.
- Identify plant, maintenance, and process reliability, optimization and improvement opportunities. Employ Breakdown Analysis as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional departments including Quality Assurance, Operations, and Quality Control to implement, execute, and promote compliance to pharmaceutical and medical device regulations of our products through the use of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), performance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), security measures, housekeeping, and all quality, regulatory, environmental, safety regulations.
- Assist in shift supervision of production, maintenance, and staff in the absence of the management or supervisors.
- Lead the site-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives for the Tucker site.
- Partner with the entire operations team to improve operations and systems, as well as maintaining focus on improving operational reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Set priority for maintenance work in tandem with the Maintenance Supervisor to achieve improved reliability and OEE goals.
- Facilitate key site activities in support of CI at the site such as the Daily Operations Review (DOR) – an important daily forum for leading continuous improvement across the site.
- Lead sitewide efforts to implement Corbion Safety Excellence programs including Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
- Educate and inform the Tucker staff of CI efforts, goals, and KPIs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree. Degree in technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with successful track-record in manufacturing/operations.
- Demonstrated experience using problem solving skill sets: leading cultural change, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or Lean Six Sigma transformations. Trained and experienced in one or more methods like TPM, Stable OPS, Lean six sigma.
- Experience working in FDA regulated industry (pharma, medical device, etc.) which employs cGMP is also a plus.
- Exceptional leadership skills including ability to motivate, develop and guide high performing teams towards success.
- Excellent communication, teaching, presentation, influencing, and coaching skills.
- Ability to travel on a limited basis, 10% of the time.
