Join us as our new Account Manager, Grain Processing and Bioenergy, Europe
To be successful in this role, you should be highly innovative, with the ability to think outside the box to solve commercial problems. In addition, you should have a solid understanding of how technologies and process improvements will impact the success of both Novonesis and our customers.
You will be part of the sales team of Industrial Biosolutions working with starch and biofuels plants across Europe. You will be the primary interface between Novonesis and the current/prospective customers in your area. Your customer focus will be Europe and you will interact closely with Novonesis’ colleagues (commercial, marketing and technical) globally.
In your role you will deal with companies/groups in the Starch and Renewables Energy sectors where Biosolutions play a key role in their industrial processes. You will drive the development of multi-layer sales relationships within accounts and understanding the decision power distribution as well as leverage the executive suite. The orchestration of the relationship between the customer and Novonesis will be a key focus.
Travel should be expected to visit customers in the region.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
- Turning business, industry development and customer needs into sales opportunities and proactively identifying and driving new opportunities
- Inspiring your customers with new technologies and concepts to develop new business areas
- Managing commercial projects from idea generation to final stage of implementation, while ensuring our product offerings meet customer, market and competitive demand
- Establishing and driving accounts in coordination with internal stakeholders (e.g. Technical Service, marketing and Supply Operations with respect to order handling and accurate demand plans)
- Proactively identify and drive new opportunities and pipeline management (combine opportunity and threat) and develop action plans to efficiently execute towards growth
- Planning & executing price and contract negotiations
To succeed you must hold:
- Hold a degree (MSc or MBA) in business administration, sales & marketing or a technical degree
- Have minimum of 3-5 years of relevant job experience in Sales, Marketing or Technical role, preferably with experience from a multi-national in Industrial Ingredients, chemical or biochemical sciences
- Knowledge about starch, sweeteners and Biofuel industries markets dynamics and applications will be a plus
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is a requirement.
- French or German skills are an advantage.
- Have interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and relate to customers to translate their needs into mutually beneficial solutions and have the confidence and proactivity to build and maintain good relations with the customers
- Have a strong drive, positive mindset, high ability to learn, goal-oriented, well organized, a can-do-attitude and teamwork skills working that enable working with colleagues globally
- Have a commercial and growth-oriented mindset, with a passion for tasks related to the sale and promotion of technical products
- Business management understanding and strategic thinking skills
- Enjoy interacting within teams, navigating both an internal network of colleagues and external network of partners and customers
- Be a highly collaborative person with the ability to engage people, including remotely.
- Salesforce knowledge is an advantage

This job will be out of our office in Denmark or remotely in Europe.
