Lead Facility & Laboratory Operations Manager

We are looking for an energetic, adaptable person excited by the opportunity to be hands on at a key inflection point for the company – getting our facility commercial ready for launching cultivated pork and beef products in the market. The Laboratory and Facility Manager will be responsible for the overall seamless operation of Fork & Good’s facility.
Responsible for Utility & Site Services, Laboratory Operations, Maintenance in coordination with R&D, Validation, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Engineering teams.
Responsible for implementing and administering the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the facility.
Serve as Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) representative including managing lab safety procedures, protocols, coordinating inspections, coordinating lab safety training, relevant hazardous waste management and related responsibilities as required.
Play key role in the supervision, mentoring and development of staff.
Provide leadership and support to produce engineering deliverables for projects and studies by identifying and implementing best practice and holding the team to account for quality.
Manage and monitor the facilities and laboratory operating budget.
Perform analytics and identify continuous improvement opportunities through accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in laboratory technology or science-related field and/or 5+ years of life-science related experience.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, and communication skills.
Knowledge of advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Experience with specific Laboratory Information Management System, life science-related equipment and managing a food production facility is preferred.
Familiarity with Quality Control systems and standards (e.g. ISO 9001, GLP, etc.) and relevant guidelines for the USDA and FDA compliance for food products is desirable.
