The Technical Customer Quality Representative (Lecithin Focus) role is part of the Customer Quality team and reports to the Customer Quality Manager. Serving as the main quality contact for external key customers, the Customer Quality Representative will provide best-in-class strategic quality and food safety support to selected key accounts.
This role requires strong problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills. This role also requires the ability to work independently, exhibit sound judgment, and have a strong customer centric mindset. The position operates in a fast-paced and demanding work environment and is expected to present a professional image to both external customers and internal colleagues. This role is primarily focused on Lecithin technical and quality topics but will also require cross BU collaboration with all business units of ADM. Main purpose is to create more profitable business for ADM by helping customers to achieve their growth ambitions.
Description Of Work Performed
Enhance brand equity with key customers through excellence in quality alignment, operations excellence, and order execution
Explore new markets and applications, identify growth opportunities, develop the strategy and execution plan regarding the value added products and solutions within Lecithin businesses in Europe, following (unmet) customer needs, consumer trends and market data
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to acquire new business and initiate co-development projects with key customers
Build and maintain customer relationships that drive efficiency and profitability
Participate in and lead customer facing meetings and events
Develop a thorough understanding of customers’ requirements for products and service level
Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and respond to non-conformity reports in a timely manner
Provide timely communication and follow through, both external and internal, for key account concerns
Create and manage all aspects related to customer quality agreements and needs
Identify cross functionally process gaps and inefficiencies and present solutions
Understand strategic goals of the business unit and align personal goals accordingly
Excellent understanding of internal business processes
Portray a positive image of the company and self when interacting with customers and colleagues
Familiarity with and adherence to food safety standards such as ISO and GFSI procedures and requirements
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (EMEA) 20-30%
Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
4 year University degree in a science related field (i.e. Food Science/Engineering, Microbiology, Food Chemistry, etc.), supplemented with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in customer-facing roles and/or within Quality assurance and/or Production facility. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Proven ability to assess business risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal partners/colleagues
Highly proficient in computer processes and Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook
