The Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will oversee the financial planning process, drive performance analysis, and support decision-making to ensure the company meets its financial goals. The ideal candidate will have strong CPG experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
2. Develop and implement financial models to support strategic initiatives and evaluate potential investments.
3. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management to drive business decisions.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial performance improvements.
5. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for executive leadership, Private Equity Sponsors, Lenders, and Board meetings.
6. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data, providing actionable recommendations.
7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
8. Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications for Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on the CPG.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data to drive business strategy.
• Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong process improvement, critical thinking, and influencing skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
• Ideal candidate would have experience in a blue chip, CPG company and has seen what good looks like as well as a smaller, resource lean company where they had to build for the future.
