THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with our Founders in steering the company's strategic direction and growth. This role serves as a crucial link between the CEOs and the rest of the organization, ensuring effective communication and timely execution of objectives while maintaining high standards. The Chief of Staff will support the CEOs in strategic planning and implementation of long-term goals, while also identifying potential risks and opportunities. This position is vital in keeping the team focused on strategic priorities, optimizing time management, and fostering seamless organizational communication and collaboration.
REPORTS TO
This position reports directly to the CEOs/Co-Founders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the CEOs’ primary support, offering guidance across all aspects of leadership.
Manage communication between the CEO and other executives, board members, and external partners.
Oversee company leadership meetings, including agenda setting, discussion facilitation, and follow-up action management.
Spearhead and manage CEO-assigned special projects requiring cross-functional collaboration.
Deliver strategic and operational support through research, analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
Develop and maintain systems to optimize company-wide operations.
Act as the CEO's representative in internal and external meetings when necessary.
Identify and address potential challenges proactively.
Serve as the primary contact for urgent matters under the CEO's purview.
Ensure alignment of goals and objectives across all departments.
Cultivate a positive work environment by building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Assist leadership in navigating uncertainty and risk.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief of Staff, management consultant, or similar role with a proven success record.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with changing priorities and high uncertainty.
Strong leadership skills aligned with VUUM's values.
Exceptional project management skills, demonstrated through successful complex initiative leadership.
Superior organizational abilities, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience in budget management, contract administration, and contractor relationships.
Outstanding communication skills, able to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
Robust analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Proficiency in data analysis, including KPI tracking and reporting.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
Understanding of organizational dynamics and demonstrated emotional and political intelligence.
High level of integrity and discretion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Startup work experience.
Background in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
PMP Certification.
