For our Division of Separation & Flow Technologies (
Olive Oil Excellence Center) we are looking for a
Field Service Engineer preferably located in
Beja (Portugal). Separation & Flow Technologies encompass process engineering components and machines, including separators, decanters, homogenizers, valves and pumps. These technologies are at the heart of many production processes. The Olive Oil Excellence Center located in Úbeda, Spain, is the only GEA Group Center worldwide focused on the Application of Olive Oil using GEA's mechanical separation technology.
The Field Service Engineer position is responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance of the elements that make up the olive oil extraction lines. The work is carried out both at the customer's facilities and at GEA's facilities in Úbeda.
It consists of moving, disassembly, inspection and subsequent assembly of the machines included in these extraction lines. During the extraction campaign, corrective maintenance is carried out, as well as process optimization and technical advice.
Preventive Maintenance
- Displacement, disassembly, inspection, and assembly of equipment (decanters, centrifuges, mills, mixers, pumps...).
- Reports, advice and improvements.
Corrective Maintenance
- Displacement and resolution of breakdowns.
- Reports, advice and improvements
Process Optimization
- Analysis, decisions and results of modifications.

Minimum Requirements
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Technical training, specialty in mechanics in the maintenance area
- Experience in general mechanical work
- Experience in welding and basic electrical work
- Interpretation of assembly plans
- MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Languages: Spanish, English
- Driving license and availability to travel
