The GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies division specializes in industrial refrigeration, heating and sustainable technical solutions for the food, beverage, dairy and oil & gas industries, among others.
For our department Procurement and Supply Chain of GEA Refrigeration Netherlands in Den Bosch we are searching a Director Procurement & Supply Chain.
Responsibilities / Tasks
As Director Procurement and Supply Chain you contribute, support, and develop (local) procurement-, divisional- and corporate strategies. You implement new processes and standards in line with corporate strategy and low to medium risk potential for the group. You are the partner in designing the overall procurement strategy also by providing input to category teams and leveraging cross legal entity networks.
Your Responsibilities
- Primary focus on value creation, material cost management, procurement and supplier management, logistics and delivered quality, identifying, and removing non-value adding activities across the entire supply chain.
- Drives implementation of category requirements (direct and (partly) indirect) and logistic strategies in own area of responsibility.
- Manages global and local stakeholders, collaboration with Project Procurement Managers, Project Buyers, Strategic Buyers, and category teams.
- Manages communication with project management, engineering, project planning, Strategic Buyer, and Category Managers.
- Manages the overall timeline regarding manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of all elements of the scope.
- Accountable for regional/divisional procurement and logistics performance objectives/targets and interface for regional/ division stakeholders on all procurement related topics for services, products, and materials and coordination with procurement and central functions of region.
- Support and contribute to (local) order intake, competitiveness and/or margin growth.
- Being part of the local management team and the Global COO community.
- Ensures alignment of regional/ divisional strategies with global and regional category strategies.
- Aligns with other Heads of Procurement and Supply Chain to balance the resources’ cross location/legal entity to implement strategically important projects and to drive specialization of strategic people.
- Partners with other divisions, business units and department to secure early involvement of procurement and supply chain exploring synergies and opportunities.
