Development and establishment of the New Food activities within GEA Systems North America, following the strategy of the Global New Food organization
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Active participation in strategy development together and in alignment with the BL New Food
- Prepares and delivers budgets and mid-term plans for Global NF OI including business development, order intake and sales
- Accountable for delivering targets for – including but not limited to – Order Intake, Sales, Gross Margin, EBITDA for GEA NF
- Develops and executes business plan for NF
- Assures the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitors compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Develops and implements standards and controls, systems and procedures and regular evaluation
- Responsible for sales, process engineering and sales support as well as a seamless handover to engineering
- Assures a work environment that recruits, retains and support quality staff
- Specifies accountabilities for management personnel and evaluates performance regularly
- Aligns targets and ambitions and secures support across business units, competence centers, divisions and functions
- Contributes to the development of GEA NF strategic direction and initiatives
- Implements business unit strategic direction and initiatives relevant for BL NF
- Supports other strategic and corporate initiatives as required (including other GEA functions and business)
- Ensures approval processes follow GEA guidelines – CRM, E-approval, PADB (and others where applicable)
- Ensures compliance processes follow GEA guidelines – project management, procurement, QSHE and business compliance
- Engages and champions the values, aspirations and objectives of GEA and LPT NAM
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Interprets and adapts regional strategies to his/her BU. Align with country responsible on development and strategic initiatives (divisional, corporate and country).
- Responsible for strategic alignment, mid-term planning, setting and prioritizing strategic initiatives in his/her BU
- Monitors and reviews performance and compliance and adjusts capacity and capabilities across his/her BU
- Engineering and Business-related qualification is required and should be supported by significant work experience
- Biotechnology or Mechanical Engineering degree or similar degree required.
- Min. 7 years’ experience in similar functions in biotech or food manufacturing
- Experience in matrix organizations, especially influencing and leading without direct authority is an advantage
- Experience in international negotiation & contracting
- Experience in sales and budget planning
- Experience in change management is beneficial
