Hello! We’re Re:meat – a cultivated meat company born in Scandinavia. We’re on a mission to help save our planet by redefining how meat ends up on our plates. Why? Because food holds some of the most powerful solutions to the climate crisis. Despite current meat production being one of Earth’s most detrimental industries, demand is continuing to grow. Cultivated meat on the other hand has the potential to substantially lower the climate footprint. To unleash this potential, Re:meat develops technologies to enable large-scale production of sustainable and affordable meat for the many people. Our north star “Destination $1/kg cultivated beef” guides all our decisions to accelerate the path to commercialization to achieve radically more sustainable meat. Cultivated meat has the potential to create the biggest positive climate impact - across all industries. Our team is deeply impact-driven, bringing together a unique mix of industry insights and experience in cultivated meat and turning ventures from napkin ideas to commercial successes.
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced R&D Director to join our cutting-edge R&D team. This individual will drive innovation, design and execute experiments, and play a crucial role in advancing our core technology towards commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scaling up animal cells for bench-, pilot- and product-scale bioreactors. We’re a small and lean team, so this role will cover responsibilities that cut across cell culture development, developing methods to eliminate the need for growth factors, scale-up bioprocesses into larger bioreactors as well as R&D strategy, IP strategy and team development. We’ll put you in the driver’s seat and expect you to lead the R&D team towards technical breakthroughs and commercial success, along with the passion to get practical work done in and outside of the lab.
