Future Foods: Cost Accountant
Location: Ormond Beach, FL

The Cost Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities associated with manufacturing at Future Foods Enterprises, LLC. This position is accountable for creating, implementing and tracking standard costs and KPIs related to manufacturing, which also includes weekly/monthly internal reporting and month-end closing activities.
Report: CFO
Cost Accountant functions, but not limited to:
Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly manufacturing KPIs
Own the inventory and fixed asset business processes for the manufacturing facility and fulfillment center locations
Maintain cost and accounting views of the material master for new and existing products
Design cost estimates for new products and continues reviewing changes in existing products or service costs
Assist with month-end preparation and verification of journal entries into NetSuite
Evaluate current manufacturing processes and recommend/lead cost improvement projects
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements, flash reports, financial performance reports
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company accepted policies and procedures
Ensure accurate and timely period, quarterly and year end close processes - including period end accruals
Prepare all balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, and tax schedules
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Accounts Payable/ Receivable, invoicing
Process payroll
Labor reports and job credits
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Must maintain a professional attitude and adhere to a high level of integrity
Evaluate current manufacturing processes and recommend/lead cost improvement projects
Detail oriented, well organized, and reliable
Knowledge:
Accounting Principles required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
Keen attention to detail, strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
Analytical
Education/ Previous Experience:
BA Accounting, Finance or Business
5 + years cost/financial accounting
Experience in a food production environment, strongly preferred
