Position Overview The Senior Financial Analyst assists the Finance Manager and Director of Finance with projects related to company profitability and reporting, including, but not limited to, monthly reporting, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, review of product margins, and overall profitability.
Essential Job Functions
Analyzes complex financial information to provide accurate and timely results and recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
Performs margin review on customers and products; produces and monitors various sales KPIs.
Assists Finance Manager with annual budget and quarterly forecast estimates, as well as departmental budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis.
Helps develop new reports with large datasets to translate results into meaningful metrics and insights.
Monitors data to identify changes in financial and business trends.
Provides insight into current reporting capabilities and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Reviews reports and data for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness and brings attention to issues.
Works as a part of a team to help meet monthly goals.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
This position reports to the Finance Manager.
Education and Experience
8 or more years of finance or accounting experience, AND
Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting; OR
Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
Preferred Skills
Proficient in using ERP and supporting software.
Skilled in using business intelligence tools, including data warehouses, visualization tools, and relational database systems.
Knowledge of consumer packaged goods accounting needs.
Willing to Train
Internal processes, systems, and procedures.
Physical Demands
Position requires the ability to sit for up to approximately 2 hours at a time.
Work Environment
The primary environment for this position is in an office setting or remote. There are no adverse conditions associated with this environment.
This position may occasionally spend a small amount of time within the production and warehouse areas of the facility.
Remote work may be available as an option.
Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
