Position detailsPosition: VP of Sales
Location: Flexible in US (Exec Team is based in Miami and New York but full flexibility for Sales Candidate)
Experience: Must have CPG Sales Experience (with conventional and mass experience)
Reports to: Founder/CEO
Start-Date: ~June 2024
Salary: To be discussed with Candidate (strong base, bonus plan, benefits, and equity potential)
- ResponsibilitiesKey partner with Founder/CEO to guide overall Sales results and presenting to Board on Sales strategy and results
- Implement and execute sales strategy to reach the company’s revenue goals with brokers/sales partners and across all channels, particularly conventional grocery, mass, club
- Help the team analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and ROI of trade spend
- Monitor and analyze sales activity against goals. Forecast and communicate demand plan. Manage P&L for customers and overall sales activities and budgets
- Represent the company at various industry and/or business meetings to promote the company. Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors
- Lead 1-2 other teammates in Sales (natural director, trade support) and eventually grow team and needs on top of current broker network.
Qualifications
- 10-20+ years of progressive experience managing Sales in emerging brand CPG with history of calling on major retailers and distributors across Natural and Conventional Grocery, Mass, etc.
- Experience managing broker network, agencies, distributors (UNFI and Kehe), and work closely with internal team.
- Proven sales track record in distribution growth phase and ideally in frozen food category
- Strong organization skills. Confidence in communications.
- Must be self-motivated and proactive. Willing to do whatever it takes and adaptable to bootstrap needs. Experience working with founders and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent. Proficient computer skills, specifically in MS Office applications
- Willing to travel 50% of the time
