Summary
Coordinates and supervises maintenance personnel activities as directed by the maintenance Supervisor. Performs troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment, facilities, fixtures and systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Directs work schedule as determined by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensures projects and assigned tasks are being carried out.
- Monitor paging system and ratio for calls to maintenance department and assigns repair work to mechanics.
- Report activities of the mechanics and status of repairs or equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assists mechanics in repair and maintenance work providing guidance and helping determine solutions.
- Performs troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment, facilities, fixtures and systems.
- Minimize production downtime due to mechanical reasons through quick response.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter change and the like.
- Utilize a wide variety of hand, portable and machine tools to perform assignments.
- Run services to new or relocated equipment (air, water, electrical).
- Perform basic industrial electrical troubleshooting. Perform carpentry as needed. Perform packing equipment setup and changeover including fine-tuning and necessary adjustment.
- Perform non-certified welding and simple machining operations incidental to repair and maintenance tasks.
- Provide technical guidance to Mechanics.
- Follow lockout/tag out safety procedures during services and repair.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amy’s Kitchen Inc. employee handbook, safety manual and the GMP booklet.
- During peak season or base on company needs overtime is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position directs the workflow and assignments of the mechanics as outlined by the Maintenance Supervisor.

EDUCATION
- One year certificated from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
Skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. English a must, Spanish a plus.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as add, subtract, divide, multiply, figure proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
