Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Supply Chain and Operations Finance Director leads the financial aspects of our supply chain and operations strategy, inclusive of multi-year planning, annual planning and transformational cost savings, and optimization initiatives. The person in this role is a key member of the Supply Chain and Finance Leadership Teams. S(he) will lead a team responsible for reporting, analysis, and decision-support processes across our supply chain and operations functions. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to optimize financial performance, improve operational efficiency, evaluate capital returns, and drive cost-saving initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of both supply chain and operations management financial principles, along with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for business growth and profitability.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies for the supply chain and operations functions.
- Partner with senior leadership to align financial objectives with business goals and ensure financial performance supports overall company strategy.
- Advise on long-term financial planning and decision-making for supply chain investments, capital expenditures, and cost savings initiatives.
- Engage with commercial finance team to align growth objectives and execution across functions
Annual Planning (AOP) and Forecasting:
- Oversee the preparation of AOP for supply chain and operations departments, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals and setting annual standard costs
- Develop and maintain detailed financial analyses and models to forecast operational performance for cost of goods sold (COGS) inclusive of labor, overhead, procurement, logistics, waste and other supply chain-related costs, as well as inventory management.
- Continuously monitor financial performance against AOP and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Partner across finance, including corporate finance and corporate controller’s team on month end close
Cost Optimization and Efficiency:
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies within the supply chain and operations.
- Provide strategic insight into the management of working capital, including inventory management, procurement, and supplier relationships.
- Monitor and report on key cost drivers and business metrics to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost control.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Lead financial analysis for the supply chain and operations functions, providing actionable insights into profitability, margin performance, and resource utilization.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior Supply Chain and Finance leadership, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), financial trends, and risk areas.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and relevant information is provided to decision-makers.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with the Operations, Logistics, and Procurement teams to understand operational challenges, financial performance, and opportunities for growth.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are communicated and supported across all departments.
- Collaborate with the CFO, CSO, and other senior leaders to align financial priorities, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them within the supply chain and operations functions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies, particularly in relation to supply chain practices and financial reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance on best practices for financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring the team remains equipped to meet evolving business needs.

Supervisory Responsbilities.
Lead a team of finance professionals who provide financial guidance, compliance and partnership.
Direct reports: 3 Exempt (Senior Manager Operations, Manager Supply Chain, Manager Product Costing and Analytics); Additional team members 3 Exempt include Plant Controller and Senior Financial Analysts (2)
Qualifications And Skills

Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred).
C ertificates, Licenses, Registrations
CFA or CPA preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in supply chain and operations finance
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and operations.
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proven experience in cost analysis, efficiency improvement, and process optimization.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle, Excel, BI Analytics).
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
