For GEA Process Engineering in Wommelgem we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is responsible for the complete design of pharmaceutical equipment for manufacturing of oral solid dosage medicines.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- You contribute to the mechanical design of the pharmaceutical equipment for manufacturing of oral solid dosage medicines
- You manage the mechanical engineering of specific modules of projects as well as complete projects
- You improve the mechanical design of existing modules
- You participate in project team meetings and report the status of mechanical engineering
- You collaborate with the assembly department to clarify mechanical designs or resolve issues
- You manage the hours allocated for your different tasks, and report hour status
- You always look for improvements and discuss them with the team
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience:
- CREO / Windchill
- GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
- Other skills:
- Team player, good communicator, and skilled at optimizing collaboration between different departments
- Continuously looking for improvements to meet the requirements of pharmaceutical companies
- Possesses leadership qualities to manage a mechanical project team in the long term
- Fluent in English, and preferably in Dutch
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel
- You hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or have equivalent experience
- You have solid experience as a mechanical engineer in machine building
