The Operations & Project Manager is a hybrid role that will support the Director of Operations in ensuring a smooth supply chain (from raw material procurement through delivery of finished goods to customers) while also supporting the Marketing and Product Development teams in ushering new products from concept to commercialization.

What you will do
Operations
- Process Sales Orders end to end
- Monitor email and EDI for incoming purchase orders from customers, enter sales orders into the system, allocate inventory, send orders for fulfillment to the warehouse, and invoice customers once product has shipped
- Oversee outbound logistics to customers, ensuring timely delivery
- Process inventory transfers (with guidance from the Director of Operations) by communicating physical transfers to warehouses, monitoring freight movement, and recording the transaction in the inventory management system
- Manage all freight and logistics for inbound raw materials, inventory transfers between warehouses and manufacturing locations, and outbound shipments to customers
- Assist with raw material purchasing; issuing Purchase Orders, tracking timely delivery of materials, receiving materials in inventory management system, etc.
Project Management
- Lead and manage active Product Development projects including creating and tracking timelines, creating agendas, running and scheduling cross-functional meetings, monitoring and generating actionable follow-up notes
- Actively identify and proactively escalate (as appropriate) critical issues/risks
- Proactively rally relevant cross-functional teams to troubleshoot critical issues/risks to projects, identify solutions, and make appropriate recommendations to the leadership team
- Support the Marketing and Product Development departments in developing project plans and timelines of new innovation projects and ushering them through stage gate process
- Create a project portfolio tracker and keep documentation up to date. Act as point of contact for project reporting and updates
Who are you?
In addition to experience with the above responsibilities the ideal candidate will:
- Have 3-5 years of experience working in operations and project management-related roles; CPG experience strongly preferred
- Have a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion while effectively managing and communicating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management with clarity
- Have experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Projects or similar to create timelines and using them with cross-functional teams to track projects
- Be able to get up to speed quickly and work independently while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Have a sense of urgency, proactively follows up, and is able to hold self and team members accountable to deliverables with grace and humility
- Be a strong communicator and easily get along with others on the phone, in person, and via email
- Be incredibly organized, process-oriented, and have great attention to detail
- Thrive in ambiguous situations and startup environments
- Take ownership and create solutions to problems
