About the Role
Position Title/Job Function: E-Commerce and Fulfillment Associate or Coordinator
Position Objective: The E-Commerce and Fulfillment Associate or Coordinator supports the overall literature and merchandise fulfillment operation including fulfillment, customer service, mail functions, inventory management, event support, marketing and product development, and administrative functions.
About the E-Commerce and Fulfillment Team: The Physicians Committee's e-commerce and fulfillment operation provides educational literature and merchandise to its supporters, the health care community, and the public on issues relating to nutrition and disease prevention through the distribution of literature, books, and other media.
Essential Functions:
- Literature and Merchandise Fulfillment - Orders are processed correctly and in the most economical manner feasible within 48 hours.
- Customer Service - Customer inquiries are responded to within 24 hours with correct information and with the goal of building relationships and cultivating members.
- Mail Functions - Incoming mail is sorted daily and correctly routed to departments. Outgoing mail is processed daily in the most economical manner.
- Inventory Management - Inventory is always in stock. The fulfillment center is organized and visually conveys PCRM's professionalism. Audited merchandise is tracked.
- Event Support - Events have all the relevant equipment and supplies needed to accomplish our goals.
- Administration - Administrative tasks are handled promptly, accurately, and according to established procedures.
- Marketing and Product Development - PCRM shop sales will increase and be an indication of reaching more people with the Physicians Committee's lifesaving message.

Required Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and move boxes of literature and books up to 40 pounds on a daily to weekly basis.
Work Location: Washington, D.C. (Friendship Heights on Metro's Red Line).

Work Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position (40+ hours per week). The Physicians Committee's core business hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
Position Level: The position level for this role is flexible and may be Associate level (average of 6 years of total work experience) or Coordinator level (average of 11 years of total work experience) depending upon the candidate's education, experience, and skills.
Salary: A salary offer will take into consideration education, experience, and skills along with internal and external reference points. Candidates are encouraged to discuss salary with a position's hiring manager early in the interview process to ensure alignment.
