Founded in 2019, Oato has more than doubled revenue and is now looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join the team as our existing Marketing Manager goes off travelling! The role will support the next stage of growth, with one direct report.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity in a broad marketing role to support the growth of a challenger brand in its scaling phase. With the support of a Marketing Executive, this role will have the chance to put your own input and unique spin on the brand, in line with our strategy and cultural trends. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals with a proactive and creative mindset who are keen to get stuck into the growth and progression of Oato as we take on the dairy alt-milk market.
Aspects of the broad Marketing Manager role will include:
Brand Strategy Development: Devise and implement strategic marketing plans to enhance the brand identity and increase brand visibility through each customer touch point.
Market Research: Conduct detailed market research to identify new opportunities for brand growth and customer engagement, looking at competitors and north stars to guide our approach.
Organic Social Media Strategy: Plan social media campaigns and overall strategy in collaboration with Marketing Executive across all relevant platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin.
Paid Social Media Management: Develop and execute paid social media campaigns across various platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Manage campaign budgets and create compelling ad copy/content and targeting strategies to reach the desired audience.
Content Development: Produce and oversee the creation and delivery of creative and compelling marketing materials for both online and offline channels with the support of Oato’s Head of Brand and Marketing Executive.
Influencer Marketing: Build and manage relationships with influencers, bloggers, and relevant third parties to increase brand reach with help of Marketing Executive. Ensure that influencer partnerships align with the brand's overall strategy and values.
Event Planning and Execution: Plan, organise, and run promotional events, such as in person product launches & tastings, and sponsored events like festivals and coffee trade shows. Coordinate logistics, manage event teams, and monitor event budgets and timelines.
Partnerships and Sponsorships: Develop and manage strategic partnerships and sponsorships to amplify brand reach and visibility. This might include working with other brands, events, or venues that align with the company's target market.
Product Marketing: Work closely with the Managing Director and other team members to strategize and execute product launches, promotional campaigns, and other marketing activities specific to new or existing products.
Competitor Analysis: Monitor and analyse the activities of competitors, keeping up to date with their marketing strategies, product launches, and consumer engagement techniques to inform your company's own strategic planning.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse marketing campaigns and social performance. Use insights to guide future marketing strategies and initiatives and generate reports as needed.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as sales, production, and customer service to ensure a cohesive brand message and customer experience.
Email Marketing: Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to engage existing customers, re-engage lapsed customers, and acquire new customers. We currently use Mailchimp
Retail Marketing Support: Support the SNAM with planning and execution of media plans for existing and new retailers ensuring we are growing in our category. Experience with Citrus, Amazon PPC, Dunn Humby, Waitrose Media and trade marketing a bonus.
Management Experience Desired: This role includes a direct report in a Marketing Executive. Experience in management would be desired or a drive/interest in managing people.
What we are looking for:
3 years minimum experience in a similar role
Experience growing a brand and developing a strategy
Creativity, forward-thinking and on top of marketing trends.
The ability to multitask and deliver on KPIs
Bachelors degree in relevant discipline
Driving licence required.
A willingness to learn on the job with our brand, marketing and sales team.
Based 2-3 days in the office in Lancashire, north west England.
Salary £35k + profit share
