The Contract Manufacturing Manager role will lead development and execution contract manufacturing capability for the related Ingredients business. Included would be leading the start-up of new manufacturers and transfer of new products into existing toll manufacturers, managing overall performance, and overseeing the day-to-day activities and execution of production plans. The individual will coordinate several internal functions to ensure success at managing our tolling partners - SHE, Quality, Supply Chain, Technology, Legal, Sourcing, and our Businesses.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive projects and initiatives related to evaluation of new toll manufacturers, new product transfers and new equipment installations at our toll manufacturing facilities
- Coordination between Sourcing, Legal and other internal stakeholders for entry, maintenance, and exit strategy of contracts.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal audit needs of SHE, Quality, and Finance
- Ensure contract manufacturing performance meets company expectations in Product Quality, Service, Cost and SHE
- Measures & Metrics: Establish, monitor, and hold suppliers accountable to performance measures
- Competitiveness: Continually explore and execute on options to improve competitiveness. This includes exploring creative options in and out of our existing locations.
- Lead development of new product introduction process for contract manufacturing operations.
- Travel – approximately 25%

- Implemented Best Practices in contract manufacturing management.
- Conducting business with contract manufacturing suppliers in a way that protects IFF interests and reputation.

- Compliance to contract terms.
- Manufacturing capacity from external sources that satisfy business needs short, medium and long term.
- Meet metrics requirement per aligned on safety, quality, deliver on time and cost targets.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineer preferred) or equivalent experience
- Experience leading global, cross-functional teams
- Experience in process cost estimation.
- Demonstrated problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Project management skills—including influence and leadership.
- Understanding/knowledge of Ingredients Operations, Supply Chain function, Assets & Product Portfolio
- Demonstrated skills in collaborating across locations, functions, divisions, etc.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Financial acumen including project justifications.
- 8-10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Manufacturing.
Preferred skills, knowledge and experience:
- IACCM Supplier Relationship Management Certification recommended.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or Black Belt preferred.
- APICS CSCP certification.
