As a Sales Consultant for Molecular Farming businesses, you will leverage your expertise to connect clients with innovative technologies and products derived from genetically engineered plants. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, strategic sales skills, and a passion for advancing sustainable innovation in industries such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food production, cosmetics and textiles.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in target industries, including pharmaceutical companies, food producers, and agricultural organizations
Conduct client-needs assessments to identify challenges that molecular farming solutions can address
Develop customized sales strategies to promote molecular farming products, including enzymes, therapeutic proteins, and biopharmaceuticals
Generate leads, qualify prospects, and manage the sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue goals
Present compelling demonstrations and proposals, effectively communicating the benefits of molecular farming products
Deeply understand the range of products and services offered by molecular farming, including bio-based enzymes, vaccines, and other plant-derived compounds
Stay informed about technological advancements and competitive products in the market to position solutions effectively
Work closely with Research and Development, Product development, and Marketing teams to align offerings with client requirements and market demands
Provide client feedback to internal teams to influence product development and innovation
Research emerging markets and identify opportunities for introducing molecular farming solutions to new industries
Develop strategies to penetrate untapped sectors and maximize the reach of molecular farming technologies
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, educating them on the cost, scalability, and sustainability advantages of molecular farming
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote molecular farming technology
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Agronomy, or related fields
3+ years of experience in Business-to-Business B2B sales, preferably within biotechnology, agriculture, or pharmaceutical industries
Proven ability to close complex sales deals involving technical products or services
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving results
Familiarity with molecular farming, synthetic biology, or related biotechnological processes is highly desirable
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, client-friendly presentations
