As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll provide supervision for the maintenance department Responsibilities Include:
- Managing maintenance functions for a food manufacturing plant
- Develops a positive high-energy energy accountable team to bring state-of-the-art solutions to a growing business.
- Oversee all maintenance and engineering processes to ensure machinery and equipment function correctly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal customers (Production, WH, etc.) and manage the resources of repair activities to ensure they are completed promptly and do not disrupt production schedules. The resources can be internal or third-party contractor arrangements. Ensure the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and spare parts by managing inventory and on-time purchases.
- Budget responsibility for the Maintenance department.
- Create and implement maintenance policies and procedures to standardize operations and improve efficiency. - Organize and lead training sessions for maintenance staff to keep them updated on SOP, best practices, and new technologies.
- Daily management of maintenance department (PM & predictive maintenance program, Work Order system, equipment/system repairs, upgrades, daily planning/communication, safety performance.
- Maintain the condition of facilities to protect assets and in compliance with corporate and division standards.
- Direct maintenance team and provide skilled, motivated personnel for effective repairs & capital/alteration projects.
- Provide training as necessary to ensure proper skill level.
- Maintain stores and spare equipment systems to support plant needs.
- Provide technical expertise to analyze and resolve recurring issues limiting plant performance or affecting plant repair costs.
- Perform job duties in a manner that follows food safety and quality guidelines including but not limited to HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, etc.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality regulations and standards to protect workers, contractors, and equipment. - Enforcing the compliance of the IFF permit system to internal and contractors. Safety and Quality metrics
Job Requirements
- Intermediate mechanical Skills: proficiency with tools and machinery, including the ability to repair and maintain equipment. - Intermediate electrical knowledge: understanding electrical systems and the safety risks and precautions - Intermediate plumbing Skills: proficiency in plumbing systems for maintenance and repair tasks. - Intermediate HVAC Knowledge: understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Min 5 years experience in the Engineering & Maintenance field. Min 2 years experience as a people leader.
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
- Good knowledge or experience in food, and pharma operations such as GMP and food safety is required.
- Experience in Utilities, Boilers, High-Speed Rotating Equipment, Pumps, Air, Refrigeration.
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization including technicians, engineers, contractors, and management.
- Experience with CMMS
- Willing and able to climb, stand, and walk on a regular basis while performing the job.
