The Assembly Job Family accountable for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment including: operating machinery/equipment or using hand tools, power tools, jigs.
- Fixtures to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly so sub-assembly as it moves along the assembly line.
- Fit, align, calibrate and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
- Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods, monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
- Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
Requires skills developed through formal training or work experience- job duties are primarily straightforward, repetitive and manual activities; may collaborate on more complicated tasks. Works within established standards, procedures and guidelines. Employees sometimes require guidance from others.
