Bioprocess Engineer

Role Responsibility
- Build up cell culture lab for in-house cell tests
- Execute cell viability assays and define cell cultivation protocols end-to-end (including cell bank establishment)
- Lead collaboration with external partner for additional tests
- Develop set-up for dynamic cell cultivation based on existing bioreactor systems
- Translate customer requests into cell protocols and prepare data for presentations
- Collaborate and support product development team
Requirements
- Masters’ degree and a minimum of 2 years of working experience in biotechnology, cell biology, biomedical engineering, molecular life sciences or related field
- Prior experience in building up and running a cell lab (incl. establishment of a cell bank, execution and analysis of cell viability assays, development of cell culture protocols)
- Solid understanding of regulations applying for cell labs and their operation
- Ideally experience in bioreactor operations
- Strong ownership and hands-on mentality to execute projects and processes with limited guidance
- Excellent communication skills in English to convey and translate technical and scientific challenges across the multidisciplinary team
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
