Job Purpose:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all products are shipped according to the purchase order and sent to the appropriate location. They will also participate in maintaining accurate and orderly inventory.
Essential Functions:
- Pull, package and ship component sales orders accurately and on time.
- Ship goods from appropriate departments or inventory location.
- Palletize and move large pieces.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized area.
- Communicate about shipments with components sales and project management teams.
- Comply with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year shipping experience required. Shipping experience in an industrial manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Professional oral and written communication.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Must have the ability to operate a fork truck, saw and air tools.
- Ability to frequently lift over 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs/ladders.
- Good vision, hearing, smell, and balance.
