Position Summary:
MoldMasters is looking for an Electrical Designer to be responsible for providing technical support to the Electrical Engineering Team. The incumbent will design and detail electronic circuits and control systems for temperature controllers.
Work You’ll Do:
- Create CAD models, layouts and drawings from conceptual inputs
- Create general assembly drawings and engineering Bill of Material (BOM) for the custom controllers
- Enter BOM in business system (SAP) by following business process procedures. Verify the custom controller BOM in SAP verses Hot Runner and Hot Halfs electrical wiring
- Revise electrical CAD drawings for electronic circuits and control systems
- Construct, modify and improve electronic circuits and control systems utilizing complex electronic design techniques
- Support the engineering team by working from schematics, diagrams, sketches and oral instructions to construct experimental or prototype design to meet engineering requirements
- Develop schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists, etc for all custom controllers, SVG and EDrives
- Work with engineering team to improve the quality of the product (perform ECR’s)
- Complete job inspections, final testing, packing documents using MS Access
- Contact customers to confirm design specifications
- Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- Completed a College Diploma in Electrical Technologist with a minimum of three (3) years related experience and/or an equivalent of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of CAD experience
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to understand, revise and apply ISO9001 testing procedures and complete ISO9001 testing documentation
