Reporting to a Regional Sales Director, you will have opportunity to grow accounts in a category as a primary focus (Beverage, Food-Service, as examples), but additional account focus could also be a possibility depending on your experience and industry knowledge. We prefer for this role be either Central US/East or West Coast, but will consider other locations for the right experience. This is considered a fully remote role, however, being in-office when not traveling to be in-tune with our technical teams has its advantages if you are located near one of our technical centers.
- Account Management: Lead and influence strategic account planning. Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition data. Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans.
- Negotiate and Collaborate: Manage large commercial projects in collaboration with Flavor Creation and Application. Ensure visibility and exposure for us at customers by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with essential product demonstrations and technical to technical interface. Follow up on customer submissions and manage wins through to production and launch. Negotiate pricing agreements following company guidelines.
- Business Development: Grow our business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities. Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning us as preferred supplier and ensuring we are positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core supplier lists.
You?
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science
- 6+ years experience in sales, marketing or customer relationship role in food or related industry
- Experience with the flavor industry, including consumer and industry trends
- Knowledge of customer strategies, projects, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity
