This position is responsible for all EHS matters relating to the Hilversum Creative Center and reports to the Site Facility Manager in Hilversum. The role works closely with the Safety coordinators of the Nourish and Scent BU’s. This position subsequently holds functional reporting lines with the Regional EHS manager and to Corporate EHS.
The position requires contacts with some external authorities, fire department and environmental agencies, Internally communication with all IFF departments.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure that environmental, and safety programs are drawn up periodically, in accordance with legal and company policies and regulations, including time, manpower, training and equipment/system requirements and cost consequences and – after approval – continuously monitor adherence to planning and take corrective actions if needed.
- Ensure that all permits, required by law, are acquired and kept up-to-date at all times in order to contribute to the ongoing operation of IFF and to reduce risks for the organization.
- Ensure that all operational, environmental and safety systems and installations continuously meet governmental, IFF and insurance requirements and that clear and effective emergency plans are in place in such a way that risks for people and IFF are minimized.
- Responsible for the ER organization and ER trainings.
- Provide training and support to all department based on the annual EHS training program to implement the applicable IFF EHS policies.
- Perform risk assessments per department (RI&E’S) in close cooperation with the certified Occupational Health consultant. Investigate incidents and accidents and advise relevant parties on potential improvements in order to reduce risks.
- Continuously keep abreast of developments relating to environmental and safety affairs. Act as center of expertise in these areas for the Hilversum affiliate and advise parties involved on all matters relating to EHS and their consequences for the organization.
- Provide support and expertise on Capex projects and EHS affairs, including the role of Sustainability champion, for the Hilversum affiliate.
- Develop and maintain auditing and reporting programs for the Hilversum affiliates adherence to the IFF EHS standards and requirements.
- As the prevention officer: Support the RI&E, advise and communicate with WC concerning OHS, implementing occupational health and safety measures.
Job Requirements
- Work experience of atleast 1- 2 years in a similar function
- This position requires experience in safety, health and environmental issues and regulations on a mid to bachelor level (MVK) OR HVK.
- Ability to work independently with a reputation for passion, drive, influencing skills, and intercultural adaptability.
- The candidate must possess strong organizational, human relations, and communications skills to raise awareness and if needed correct situations.
- Dutch Language proficiency is a must
