We now have an exciting opportunity for a result-oriented talent to join our Animal Nutrition & Health Team as Sales Manager – East India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Your Focus
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for executing our relationship strategy at Key accounts and Manage distributor operation. You will engage with customers in Commercial, Marketing, Technical and Application discussions (e.g., marketing trends, consumer insights, Feed cost optimization).
This position will be based in Kolkata, India and will report into the Channel Combo Representative – Animal Nutrition, South Asia.
How You Will Contribute
Achieve Sales Targets and Business Objectives within East India, Nepal and Bangladesh in line with the Animal Nutrition & Health Business Strategy and Annual Sales Budget Plan.
Develop Account strategy and execute plans for key accounts.
Understanding needs and challenges of customers (key accounts), build and manage strategic relationships at key accounts to identify win-win opportunities and grow revenues while meeting unmet needs of the customer, enabling customer to achieve own objectives with our solutions.
Drive new opportunities from potential customers.
Maintain up to date knowledge on market developments and trends, competitive intelligence etc., to ensure relevance of market strategy.
Liaise with supply chain group, production, SBU and other functions to ensure proper and smooth supply to customers.
Maintain updated CRM - account profiles, account plans, call reports and opportunity pipeline etc.
Forecast accuracy and demand monitoring.
Work closely with Key accounts to ensure smooth functioning.
Translate customers’ insights and unmet needs into new business leads.
Build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Collaborate with internal functions (e.g., Sales Leader, Application, Quality, Regulatory, Supply chain and Customer services) to develop and execute business leads.
Communicate market trends and consumer insights to Regional Animal Nutrition team.
What you will need to be successful
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition / Health, Life sciences, Agriculture or related Science degree.
Atleast 10-12 years of experience in Animal Nutrition / Nutrition.
Strong knowledge of Enzymes, Probiotics and technical aspects of Poultry feed is a must.
Proven value selling and negotiation skills, ability to influence.
Existing network and expertise in East India poultry feed and nutrition Industry.
Good commercial, marketing and technical acumen that enables identification of Commercial, Marketing and Technical needs, and proposal of an optimized solution.
Resilient to setbacks and strong drive for impact.
Strong interpersonal skills, networking ability and team player.
Proactive and independent.
Ability to work and manage time, prioritize un-supervised and a great team player.
Effective listening, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
